What is an Electrofusion Reducing Tee?

An PE100 electrofusion reducing tee creates a three-way branch where the branch outlet is smaller than the main line — combining the function of a tee and a reducer in a single fitting. This one-fitting solution removes a joint from the network, saving installation time, trench space, and the cost of an extra fitting.

This range uses a 4.0mm Fusamatic automatic pin, which automatically reads the correct welding parameters from the fitting body. This eliminates manual data-entry errors and ensures consistent, repeatable fusion quality across the entire pipeline project.

Manufactured from virgin PE100 black polyethylene, rated PN16 for water and 10 bar for gas. Operating temperature range: -10°C to +40°C. Available in 23 size combinations from DN20x32 to DN200x110mm.

Typical Applications

  • Feeding smaller service lines from large distribution mains
  • Gas network step-down branches to district regulators
  • Irrigation laterals branching from main supply lines
  • Water treatment plant internal connections
  • Mining process water step-down branches
  • Industrial plant utility branch connections

Key Features & Benefits

  • Manufactured using virgin PE100 black polyethylene for long-term durability
  • Water PN16 / Gas 10 Bar rating (dependent on PE pipe welded)
  • One fitting does the work of tee + reducer — fewer joints, less space, lower cost
  • Reducing branch design steps pipe size down smoothly at the branch point
  • 23 standard combinations from DN20x32 to DN200x110mm
  • 4.0mm Fusamatic automatic pin — auto-detects welding parameters, prevents operator error
  • SDR range 11–17.6, covering common PE pipe wall thicknesses
  • Rising pin fusion indicators allow easy visual monitoring of the fusion process
  • Welding parameters moulded directly into the fitting body
  • Individually numbered for precise batch tracking and quality control
  • Permanent batch number clearly marked for traceability
  • Barcode and QR code enables full traceability back to raw materials
  • Welding barcode compliant with ISO 13950; traceability barcode compliant with ISO 12176-4
  • Fully welded joint — no gaskets, no flanges, no future maintenance

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our PE100 electrofusion reducing tees

What is an electrofusion reducing tee used for?+
An electrofusion reducing tee creates a branch connection where the branch outlet is smaller than the main line — combining a tee and a reducer in one fitting, saving space, joints and installation time.
What size combinations are available?+
23 combinations from DN20x32 to DN200x110mm are available, including popular combinations like 63x32, 90x63, 110x63, 125x90, 160x110 and 200x90. All use a 4.0mm Fusamatic automatic pin.
What pressure rating does this PE100 tee support?+
This tee is rated PN16 for water applications and 10 bar for gas applications, when welded to PE pipe of the corresponding SDR rating. Always verify the pipe SDR and local pressure regulations before installation.
What are fabricated design sizes?+
Some large combinations (e.g. 125x110, 160x63, 180x125) are fabricated designs manufactured using certified electrofusion and spigot components. Dimensions and welding times may vary subject to component availability.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
The standard MOQ is 100 pieces per size, but we are flexible for trial orders. Smaller sample quantities are available for evaluation. Contact us with your required sizes and quantity for a tailored quote.
