45° Spigot Elbow PE100 SDR 11 — Dual Service Water & Gas Butt Fusion Fitting

The PE100 45° spigot elbow (SDR 11) is the standard dual-service direction change fitting — certified for Water PN16 and Gas 10 Bar. Its 45° sweep is the preferred fitting for gas service lines and cross-country pipelines, where a gentle, low-stress change of direction keeps welding joints within specification.

Manufactured from virgin PE100 black polyethylene supplied by recognised polymer leaders such as Borealis and Ineos, our spigot elbows carry full batch traceability. The one-piece moulded construction produces a smooth bore with no seams, maximising flow and eliminating stress concentration points. Long spigot ends give the welder generous clamping and fusion space, while factory-chamfered ends follow DVS 2207 / ISO 21307 welding procedures.

The range covers d20mm to d500mm, with d25-315mm held as standard stock and larger sizes produced on request. Each fitting is individually marked with size, SDR, standard and batch codes.

Why 45° for Gas?

Gas network codes emphasise joint integrity: a 45° elbow induces lower bending stress on the butt fusion weld than a 90° turn, and creates a smoother flow path. It is the recommended fitting wherever the pipeline alignment permits a gradual change of direction.
